As a St. Louis transplant, I’ve spent decades searching for a St. Louis style pizza in NYC to poor success, but everyone pointed to Speedy Romeo as my last, best hope. So, for better or for worse, I’m going to endeavor to compare this pizza to the square beyond compare. The wood-fired crust at Speedy Romeo does not resemble the cracker-thin St. Louis slab, but it sure is tasty. These sauces and toppings feel too high falutin to be found in my favorite St Louis takeout, but, oh, I enjoyed them, too. The cheese- I made sure to order a pizza with provel cheese- the cheese instantly took me back home. It hit the mark and even made me a little homesick. I loved it and will be back soon. In the end, Speedy Romeo felt a little bit like New York, a little bit St. Louis, but it was mostly its own unique and delicious style. I’d recommend it to anyone from the Lou, anyone from the city- anyone at all.

Speedy Romeo’s is such a cute spot for great pizza. The crust has a nice chew without being super thick. Super relaxed environment with great wait staff.

Found this place on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list, which denotes establishment that have high quality food at reasonable prices. Speedy Romeo definitely lived up to the description. I went with some friends and had four different pizzas so we could try a few things. St.Louie - Bar style pie, where the pickled peppers and provel cheese shine Dangerfield - a deconstructed meatball sub and my wife’s favorite King salami - nice meat lovers pie, I was excited about the fennel salami ( finocchiona ) but couldn’t really taste it with all the other flavors Truffle shuffle - this was my favorite one, pepperoni with a little truffle ranch made for a nice savory experience I will definitely be back to try the pasta

Great neighborhood spot the service was super swift and moved quickly! Very kid and family friendly which is nice! Went there with my niece and sister. We got two pizzas and spaghetti along with two Lambrusco! I enjoyed the time there the Burrata pizza was just my favorite, the pasta was okay a little greasy but overall great spot! Pizzas are about $20 each fairly medium sized slices! More on the expensive side but good! Also got the chocolate s’mores brownie cake it was good and spongy sweet but not overly!

PAID $95.64 FOR 2 TINY PIZZAS. I placed an order for 2 pizzas through Uber Eats. IMMEDIATELY called the restaurant and told them not to make them and they told me the only way to fix it was by canceling in the app and placing the order again which I did.... 90 minutes and 6 customer reps later, they say I can only get a refund at the restaurant. The staff at the restaurant says I can only get a refund through the app... So here we are... $95.64 for 2 pizzas and the original pizzas were never even made. Normally, one of my favorite pizzas, but I will NEVER GO BACK IF THE RESTAURANT DOESN'T MAKE THIS RIGHT.

This is a Brooklyn Gem, consistently good and great service. We have our favorites on the menu but the seasonal menu allows us to try something different.

Relaxed confortable vibe. Great pizzas (little bigger than individual sized but not quite large enough for two). The pepperoni with hot drizzled honey is excellent. Their ceasar salad is also excellent as is their burger - cooked over open flame with excellent meat. They have wine and beer - no spirits. First tap beer we ordered was pretty flat but we sent it back (no hassle) and all was good from then on. They also allow you to BYOB with only a minimal corkage fee. Side note: you can get their pizzas delivered which are also aces.. Like I said love this place We went with Brustins and Carpenters

The pizza was really good, though mine was slightly over-salty. It was expensive, but the portions were quite big. They have vegetarian and vegan options which are also tempting for non-vegs. The place is nice, good atmosphere and music, but it could use better illumination (I like soft light, but this was a bit too dark). The staff was friendly and helpful.

We had the White album pizza which was amazing! The St Louie was also great, but hard to beat the White album pizza. It's costly for pizza, but definitely worth it
