What a wonderful, beautiful, cozy pizzeria! There might be some recency bias present, but there is an 80% chance that this is 100% the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. The staff look so happy. The restaurant is lively, noisy, chatty and full of Italian energy. The margarita pizzas were our favorite, which is a great sign for a pizza restaurant. Really hope to be back here some day!

We visited La Piola as a group because of it being rated pretty high in the top 50 Pizza in Europe. We understood why. The food is delicious, the staff is kind and professional but also easy going. The selection of Pizzas and desserts is very good and everybody at the table was really happy and satisfied. We will be back for sure. Keep in my mind to book in advance if you're a large group.

I came to La Piola as soon as I arrived in Brussels because my sister highly recommended it. After trying my first pizza, I made it my mission to taste every single one on the menu during my four-month stay in the city — and I did. With top-quality ingredients, perfectly baked dough, and ingredient combinations that are consistently spot on, every pizza is a hit. There’s really no point in recommending a specific one, because none of them ever disappoint. Just read the ingredients — if it sounds good to you, it will be good, made with precision and care. Their special house dough is really tasty. All the desserts are homemade and delicious, but I absolutely recommend trying the cannoli or the tiramisu — some of the best I’ve ever had. Not needed to say that taking into acciunt the prices in Brussels and the quality of this restaurant, it’s not expensive at all. On top of all that, the warm and friendly service truly elevates the experience. The staff treats you like family, they won’t hesitate to give a recommendation if you ask them. And on my last day in Belgium, I asked for a photo with them as a souvenir — and they all kindly agreed. Without a doubt, La Piola is one of the best pizzerias in the world

I’m actually sorry to leave this review because I got so many recommendations for this place so I really had high hopes! Disclaimer: this is not a review for a dine in experience. We ordered two pizzas on a delivery app (normally I wouldn’t order pizza for delivery since obviously it’s so much better to eat it straight out of the oven but that’s how it worked out this time). The pizzas we chose were the Ortolana and Fior di salame piccante. Ingredients were really fresh and tasty, the problem was with the Ortolana: the dough was completely burnt on the bottom (see picture), making it impossible to eat/enjoy. In all fairness, my wife’s pizza was great (I haven’t tried it because I don’t eat meat but she enjoyed it a lot and the dough was cooked perfectly, not burnt at all) but I can’t give more than two stars since you really can’t give to a customer a pizza that it’s basically charcoal on the bottom (especially considering it was a delivery order and so the client can’t do anything about it). Disappointed to say the least.

Amazing Pizza and delicious Tiramisu! Also a fabulous mocktail with "gin" and basil. But most outstanding was our waiter Matthew. He was very professional and efficient as well as friendly and knowledgeable. An exemplary employee! Definitely go to this restaurant.

I really wanted to like this place. Normally I would never order a pizza for delivery because I know it’s best to eat it straight out of the oven but didn’t have another option this time so we used UberEats. We ordered an Ortolana and a Fior di Salame Piccante. Ingredients were fresh and tasty but the Ortolona dough was completely burnt on the bottom (see picture). I’m sorry but if you burn the pizza, you simply do it again. I can’t accept that a pizzeria considers it ok to do so, especially for a delivery when the customer can’t send it back.
