Pizza Lovers say: "Delicious buffalina and tartufata pizzas, with homemade tomato sauce. Some parts bordering on undercooked, and a disappointing side salad."

I wanted to try this Pizza since long time, as everyone always says is one of the best in London, however from an Italian from Rome, I was pretty disappointed. It is classic Napolitan pizza, so it’s thin in the middle and there is the spongy crust. In the middle the pizza is raw and the ingredients not even attach to the pizza. When you cut it, they separate from the dough and you can see the raw dough. The crust is spongy. The salame is sliced in thin strips, never seen a diavola with the salame cut like that. Also it doesn’t taste salame, but more like pancetta, it also looks like it. The chilly oil is extremely spicy and no one warned me. I ate it all as I was hungry. The menu I had to the table was an old menu with the price £12.95, that’s why I ordered that pizza. When I went to pay the charged me with the new price £15.95. I wouldn’t have ordered if I knew the actual price. I let the cashier know it that the price on my menu was different and she said they only got 1 menu. I’m sure you only have 1 menu, but you need to check the copies, cause you still have the old menu around. Paying £21 something for this…. I’m not impressed.

I would agree with the other comments that this is one of the best places for pizza, and one that I hadn’t heard of! You can tell because the tomato sauce is homemade… none of that canned garbage (even if mutti) that tastes like tomato paste. The only reason I’ve knocked down a star is because some parts of our pizzas were bordering on undercooked.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I ordered a Pizza Margherita and politely asked if it was possible to have a whole fresh mozzarella on the side. I clearly said I was happy to pay extra for it. The request was immediately refused because it was “not the policy of the restaurant.” I asked where this policy was written so I could understand it, but no explanation was provided. What made the situation worse was the attitude of the man in charge. When the waitress kindly explained my request to him, he responded in a dismissive way saying something like, “Are we serious?” while looking at both of us. At no point did he apologise or try to handle the situation professionally. When I approached him myself to ask why the request was not possible, he said that he “can’t give raw mozzarella.” As an Italian, I found that explanation quite surprising since mozzarella is normally made with pasteurised milk and is perfectly safe to eat. The most embarrassing part was when he loudly said, in front of all the customers, “I’m from Sicily,” as if that somehow justified the situation. It was very uncomfortable and unnecessary. Overall, it was the most embarrassing and unprofessional restaurant experience I’ve had. A simple request and a respectful conversation could have easily avoided this situation.

First time here. The buffalina and tartufata pizzas were delicious. The side salad was disappointing. Someone clearly dumped a bag of lettuce from the supermarket and didn’t bother to wash it well (or at all) or take out the unappetizing bits from the bottom of the bag. Plus there was a bug in it. Service was lacking. We had this young guy as our waiter and had to wait way too long for him to take our order. We had to flag him down. He didn’t seem to care. He finally asked how our meal was when our plates were almost empty. There was another staff person who arrived after we were there who I could tell was either the owner or manager and you could see the difference with how he approached service, his tables were well tended to and he was greeting everyone. I’ll go back for the pizza. Maybe I’ll ask for the manager/owner as our waiter to have a completely different experience. They had tons of takeaway orders so maybe people are onto something, maybe ordering takeaway is the way to go. The restaurant was PACKED with children so if you’re not dining with a child, go later at night.

Good pizza, friendly staff, good value. Restaurant could be a bit more interesting and doesn’t feel very clean. The loos are dirty and need an upgrade.

I ordered a tartufata pizza that just 20 minutes after I finished I felt very sick I had to run to the toilet ( only one toilet) and I throw up, got home I had one of my worst night ever throwing up for all night long. First and last time I will ever go, they used some expired products for sure cos one of my friends felt very sick too

Average pizza, not overly warm. Lacked taste. Sloppy. The red wine was also average. Tables close together.
