I think Prime Pizza is the best New York style pizza you can get in the LA area. The pizza is really crispy, and they offer both round and square pies. You can order by the slice or get a whole pizza. My go to slices are the spicy pepperoni, classic cheese, and pepperoni. The hoagie is also very good and worth trying. The parking lot itself is small, but street parking is easy and usually not a far walk. Beyond the food, this location feels very community driven. You can really see it with Pasadena and Altadena merch being sold and the overall neighborhood vibe from the people here. Seating is outdoor only in a patio setup, and they have a big TV outside where they show sports, which adds to the experience. Definitely a spot I keep coming back to.

This pizza place survived the fire and still one of the best In all LA. The gluten free square pizza is unbeatable!

I love Prime pizza so much. It’s always great and delivered quickly the crust is actually amazing which is my barometer for good pizza and the homemade ranch takes it to the next level. The chopped salad is also one of the best I’ve ever had. No sucky pizza place salad at this place it’s amazing! I inquired about a catering order recently and Elizabeth responded to me the same day and was really amazing to work with. We ended up doing the food ourselves but I was really impressed with the customer service and will definitely work with them sometime in the future!

Thank You Team Atladena Prime Family for always showing love and respect behind each pie created and salad tossed. Always a great weekend start with Prime Pizza Family Meal Deal. BTW best dough to purchase for making “wood fired pizza at home” I personally use a Solostove Pizza attachment for the Bonfire size pit - works great. Bella my labradoodle loves the pizza crust on family pizza nights.

The restaurants in Altadena have been getting a lot of news coverage due to the fire destruction and road closures making them inaccessible. Well on a Sunday night the pizza shop was busy. We picked out three different slices and a coke which cost me 18 bucks. I'm a pizza snob and I can tell you these slices were delicious and the pizza dough is first rate with that perfect crunch. They are also selling special Altadena Fire fundraising t-shirts.
