Square pizza with crispy cheese edges? Say less. 🍕🔥 Tried a super unique square-shaped pizza with crispy, baked cheese crusts and a light, airy dough. Totally different from your classic slice — and honestly, so satisfying, especially if you show up hungry. It’s rich, indulgent, and kinda addictive. Definitely not your everyday pizza — but absolutely worth trying at least once, especially if you love cheesy corners and a bit of crunch. Perfect comfort food. I’d go back just for the edges alone. — Ilya #CyborgRecommends #SquarePizzaMagic #CheeseCrustLove #PizzaWithAnEdge

I rarely write a review immediately after I've tried the food at a restaurant much less a pizza place. To say the food in LA has been underwhelming during and after the pandemic is an understatement. So, when a close friend of mine recommended this place, I was skeptical to say the least. She seemed almost afraid to tell me that it was good because she knows I'm extremely skeptical trying new places and critical when it comes to my favorite foods; one being Mexican food and the other being Italian restaurants and/or pizza places. I'm not a deep dish lover so I already had expected not to think their pizza was going to be very pleasing to me. I couldn't have been more wrong! Wow! Delicious pizza that is light, has crunchy cheese edges, and the sauwwwwce! Magnifique!! 🤌🏽I'm typing this and suppressing the urge to devour another piece! I'm a NY style, thin crust, pizza lover. So, I'm pleasantly surprised that I now have another option when I'm craving something different. If you're a native Los Angeleno, it is reminiscent of Damiano's in West Hollywood...do you remember them? They had a different pizza box each time you ordered. They were across from Canters back in the day. Dtwown pizzeria sorry to say is 10xs better in every way and not greasy. I will definitely be back and I HIGHLY recommend! 🍕

I was visiting LA, and stumbled upon this place after a two-hour walk around West Hollywood with my dogs. I had never had Detroit-style pizza before, but it looked delicious. I waited outside with my dogs, and the staff member was kind enough to bring my order out to me. Got the half-size of the 1946 Cheese, took it back to the hotel, and devoured it. The pizza was so good that I ordered a whole order late that week and had it delivered to my hotel. Got the same cheese pizza, but added half meat to the other side for my partner, who was also impressed. The crispy edges alone are worth all the third-party delivery fees, and definitely will order again next time I'm there. And yes, the dogs got a little bite.

I was never into “deep dish” or any type of thick pizza, however this Detroit style is beyond delicious! Highly recommend. Any flavor is on point have had Mowtown and DBM so far both were phenomenal

I was born in Detroit and lived in Michigan for 21 years. I have eaten my fair share of connoisseur grade Detroit pizza. We took a Waymo from LAX area to get pizza here. 40 minute ride. This is the real deal. The pizza was spot on. They are selling Faygo and Vernors in glass bottles. That’s straight up Detroit. Definitely not a waste of time coming from LAX. I’ll do it again next time!

Hands-down the greatest pizza I've ever had in my life. BY FAR the best pizza in the city of Los Angeles! I had never had Detroit style pizza until I came to D-town and it is superior to all other styles. I travel constantly for work all over America and I try other Detroit style pizza in every city l go to and nothing can compare to this place. If you have not tried this place do yourself a favor I promise, promise promise you this pizza will blow your mind. also, get the ranch and the Cibrian chili oil GAME CHANGERS.

I wanted to try this pizza since it was rated highly in a local foodie blog. Being originally from Detroit, it seemed to make sense to see if the pizza reminded me of the pies of my childhood. I loved that you could buy Vernors ginger ale (my choice) or Faygo pop, which I never liked. (Sorry, Faygo.) seating is limited. On the day I was there, there were only two outdoor tables that were occupied. We ordered to go, and ate at the benches in front of the restaurant. The pizza was good and tasty. If in the neighborhood, I’d order it again for sure. The staff was very friendly.
