  This Italian restaurant is owned by a Japanese owner and is well known for its Neapolitan-style pizza. The pizza dough is excellent — soft and chewy on the inside while crispy on the outside. There is a wide variety of pizza toppings to choose from. The restaurant has received many awards over the years, which are proudly displayed at the front of the shop and clearly reflect the quality and great taste of their pizzas.

  This is One of the best pizza I ever ate. The Margarita pizza is baked right after you ordered and in just a couple of minutes of waiting, there you have it , hot and fluffy dough, and that cheesy bite. Even my wife ,who does not like to eat pizza , gave it a try and she said this pizza is definitely a must eat when you come to Uji. I will rate this pizza a 12 out of 10.

  Ho trovato una pizzeria autentica a Kyoto. It was nice that such a place exists in a town as far as Uji. Perfect place to stop by on a busy sightseeing day with little time for eating. They do take a bit to prepare the pizza order but you can deal with it by ordering a quick antipasto.

  Look, normally I don’t leave comments in google restaurant, but I have to this time. I’m sorry. Be honest, I have never eat a pizza like this. I ordered the first one, it got a star that one. The tomato sauce base is like water and it’s a bit sour, not like a pizza base sauce, just like eating tomato, not matching with the pizza that’s all I can say. Because of the sauce is too watery, the pizza was soggy mess…. The pizza tastes like you can taste every ingredient separately but they’re not match…..

  Antica Pizza is a nice little stop to satisfy a pizza craving while in Uji. The food was decent—nothing particularly outstanding, but it did the job. The service, however, felt a bit indifferent. The staff didn’t seem very engaged or welcoming, which slightly affected the overall dining experience. That said, if you’re in the area and craving Western food, it’s a convenient option. Just go in with simple expectations and enjoy the break from matcha everything!
