This Pizzeria is slightly more expensive than average, but the quality fully justifies the price. Quite honestly, it serves some of the best and most flavorful pizzas I’ve had in Switzerland. The pizzas are baked in a traditional oven, with excellent dough, high-quality ingredients, and a truly authentic Italian taste. The atmosphere is natural and welcoming, and the restaurant is easy to reach both by public transport and by car. In summer, the outdoor seating is a big plus and makes the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside is communication: even when customers speak (order) German or English, staff often replies in Italian. While the Italian atmosphere and basic phrases add to the charm, using the same language as the guest only for ordering would make the experience clearer and more comfortable for the customers. Overall, Pizzeria San Gennaro delivers outstanding pizza and a genuine Italian experience. A must-visit for pizza lovers, as long as you’re prepared for a little Italian flair, including in the conversations 🇮🇹🍕

Was in a rush Sat. evening to the airport. Told the staff and besides being busy they managed to have my pizza on the table in less than 10min. Tasty as expected, thanks for the super quick service. Arrived at airport in time 😅 Will come back

Pizza is exceptional, only the best ingredients are used. Starters are also very good. The personal is very friendly and add the right touch to the southern Italian atmosphere. The price is ok for Zürich. The location inside is basic. In summer I would like to try the terrace outside. I recommend this pizzeria!

Highly decorated pizzeria which used to be near Zurich Wipkingen / Limmattal and has now moved to Schlieren (some drama, the old location still operates under a different name). They pride themselves on being very Neapolitan including using ingredients from the region. The food was nice and definitely a good experience, not sure if I expected more because of their awards but for me it's in line with the best pizzerias in the city. Make sure you reserve and be cautious as parking can be tricky, especially in the evening.

SG is located at the train station in Zurich, so naturally I assumed because of the commercialized location the pizza would be subpar. I’ve never been so wrong. The margarita pizza us a light crusty pie with crispy dough edges—layered thinly with tomatoes — a light layer of olive oil—oozing with melted mozzarella cheese, and sprinkled with parmigiana(optional). We devoured the pizza in minutes😌

CHF9 for tap water, CHF12.50 for 1.5 slices of bread (bruschette), and CHF26 for a pitiful smear of vitello tonnato. Nothing tasted remotely fresh, and the quantities felt almost insulting. That's CHF47.50 for putting together four supermarket-grade ingredients (bread, tomatoes, veal, and tuna sauce) in almost their raw form. The pizzas were the only thing that saved the kitchen from complete disgrace — genuinely good — but still shamelessly overpriced. The location? Miserable. A crossroad in Schlieren with the charm of a graveyard, and clearly no effort made to replace the cheap paper lamps and wallpapers which seem were installed by the previous Chinese owners. The only professionals in sight were Pino the waiter and his team, who were friendly, efficient, and frankly wasted in a place like this. Would I go back? Only if I suffered a complete loss of judgment and amnesia. If you're desperate to burn your money, please look for a good charity that deserves it — not to licensed burglars. But hey, if being ripped off is your thing, you'll feel right at home.
