  We visit this place at least once a month and are never disappointed. It’s one of the few spots open after 3 PM. The staff is always friendly, and the waitress speaks great English. The wine selection is solid, and while the food may not be the absolute best, it never fails to satisfy. We love trying a new pizza each time and have always been happy with our choices. Parking can be tricky, but we've always found a spot. Highly recommend this place for a relaxed and enjoyable meal!

  Pleasantly Surprised by a True Neapolitan Gem! Pummarulella Trattoria Pizzeria was a delightful surprise. The pizza was excellent—light, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. We tried a variety of pizzas and starters, including fiori di zucca ripieni and alghe fritte, and everything was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Neapolitan flavors! Service was really good , waiters were smiling and helpful throughout the dinner. Definitely I will be back! Tell them Flavia sent you!!

  This place is fantastic, with a great atmosphere. We started with fried appetizers – croquettes and something with zucchini flowers – both were delicious. I then ordered the double smash burger, which was really good, though the bacon was a bit overcooked. The prices are reasonable, and the staff was incredibly kind. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

  This place is excellent! Great people (Gisella), just saying, were all friendly and attentive. Great atmosphere and easy parking. The food is great! You have to try this place! We had spaghetti with olives and capers and it was great. We both thought that there were two many capers and the briney flavor made the dish too salty. But it was still good guys. Then we had the filet pepper verdi (with green peppercorns). The steak was an excellent cut of beef cooked to perfection. The green pepper corn sauce had unfortunately way too many green peppercorns which sadly took away from the delicious creamy sauce. But again, it was still a great flavor. Then we had the recommended Tiramisu. And they were right, excellent! It really was a very light but decadent Tiramisu! We will be back for sure! Recommend!!!

  Updated my review to include their pizza’s - they are among THE BEST IN NAPLES! If you’re out and about in Varcaturo and want a bite to eat, be sure to give A Pummarulella a try! The waitresses are a touch surly - I mean why should that role be reserved only for Neapolitan men serving tables?! But overall very likeable and the food is great!! ——- original review ——— Did some serious hiking today and stopped in for a burger on the way home. Very nice staff, off street parking, good selection of beer, food and beverages available- all at reasonable prices. I had the “best burger” and it was good - it’s not an American burger but it did the trick! A nice place, I will certainly return, the pizzas looked great and had some new and interesting toppings on a traditional Neapolitan crust.
