  We travelled from Azerbaijan to taste the pizzas of Franco Pepe at Pepe in Grani. Franco Pepe himself was very friendly and welcoming. The place is beautiful, with a warm and cozy atmosphere. Caiazzo is a quiet town — partly abandoned in some areas — which creates a strong contrast with the energy inside the restaurant. Pizzas We tried the “Wrong Margherita” and “Scarpetta.” The dough was OK — slightly sticky on the cornicione and with a noticeable yeast smell. However, the topping ingredients were amazingly good. You truly feel the quality. In fact, the ingredient quality was better than the dough itself. Drinks. The restaurant has good selection of wines and beers. Desserts I tried the best tiramisu of my life. Absolutely outstanding! Overall Overall, it was a good experience. High-level ingredients, a beautiful atmosphere, and a memorable dessert — even though the dough did not fully meet expectations.

  We tried the tasting menu and absolutely loved the appetizers (sensazione di costiera and ciro) and desserts (crisommola del vesuvio and cerasella). We got five different pizze including the famous one - the scarpetta was great but the rest were just ok. Would love to go back but will prolly not do the tasting menu as it was a lot of food. After the third pizza, it was hard to enjoy the rest. Service could be better, took my plate while I was still eating.

  If you are in the Napoli area this is a must go! About a 45 minute drive from Napoli and well worth It. We made reservations for lunch via WhatsApp and It was extremely busy. Every dish is a 10/10 and the staff is incredibly friendly. My favorite restaurant during my time in the Napoli area. We packed in a paid lot about a 5-10 minute walk to the restaurant.   An unforgettable experience. I rented a car and drove all the way to Caiazzo just for this place, and it was absolutely worth it. I ate there twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, and had a coffee the next morning before leaving. The pizzas are exceptional, precise, and deeply satisfying. I also had the chance to talk with the chef himself during the Covid period, and they even took the time to show me around the place. Everything feels sincere, thoughtful, and driven by real passion. A restaurant I truly admire and would gladly return to anytime.

  Absolutely worth it, specially the dough is something I’ve never experienced before! Amazing flavour texture and super light for digestion! Thanks to the staff they helped with to have a room to sleep for a reasonable price so I could stay overnight! Amazing place

  I've been today with my family for the dinner. You must book in advance. Kids got a pizza and we order two different tasting menus. From starters to main course and desert: all pizza, with amazing flavours. The fact that Franco was waking around the table making the atmosfere even better. At least, we loved it. Left the place happy with a photo together with him. Do you live pizza? Have you ever tried a sweet pizza with Vezuvio apricots? You must give it a try! Thank you, Franco!

  The pizza is amazing following the Neapolitan tradition with innovation though, we recommend the tasting path In order to experiencing flours that you will never imagine to taste. The service is excellent. The outdoor location, in the garden, is amazing.
