It was my first time trying this place after hearing so many good things about their pizza, and now I totally understand the hype! …

As an Italian, I have pretty high expectations when it comes to pizza especially when a restaurant is presented as Italian or proudly uses Italian ingredients. Having tried plenty of pizzas around Melbourne, I’ve unfortunately been

Sat outside on the side of street and it was such a nice vibe. Pizzas were amazing, had their truffle mushroom and margherita, both are very tasty and pizza base to fluffy and chewy and to die for. The pasta however, I find was just ok. It

I recently ordered a buffalo mozzarella margarita pizza from this restaurant. I drove home directly from the restaurant, then immediatley sat down to eat my meal approx' 15 minutes later. The pizza was overcooked, so the pizza crust around the outside tasted burnt and dry (ie: more burnt than normal light charring). The centre of the pizza was like wet paper and mostly fell into a sloppy pile into the centre of the box. Only about 10% of the pizza was edible...the rest tasted terrible. So having had a good experience dealing with the Manager at Farro Fitzroy, I emailed a complaint to him and received no response. I then emailed my complaint to the Manager of the Windsor restaurant on 18th August and got no response. I subsequently sent two follow-up emails on 20 August and 22 August and again got no response. In the end, it took a total of 4 emails and 2 calls to the Windsor restaurant for the Manager to agree to offer just 50% off my next pizza. I then complained that the pizza was overcooked and inedible, and she then reluctantly offered to replace the pizza at no cost. So I came into the restaurant tonight and ordered the gnocchi mushroom ragu in lieu of a pizza, as I thought it would be harder for their kitchen staff to screw up. I was wrong. The gnocchi didn't look anything like the picture on their website! Their was no organic tomatoes, onion or goats cheese as per the ingredients posted on their site. It was basically gnocchi piled with a tonne of mushrooms with garlic, chilli and herbs, and would be what i'd expect from a roadhouse petrol station in the middle of nowhere. I also ordered a tiramisu which again didn't look anything like the picture on their website which shows tiramisu with atleast 50% layered cake/buscuit to mascarpone/cream filling ratio. The tiramisu I was given was about 90% mascarpone/cream with dusted chocolate on top. Basically it was like eating a slab of cream and was a complete disappointment. Increasing the mascarpone/cream to cake/buscuit ratio as high as possible seems to be a dirty little secret in the restaurant industry to increase profit. This restaurant is evidently poorly managed. So it's no surprise the food they turn out is also of a poor standard. They richly deserve a 1 star rating, and they've lost my business which, ironically, will probably make their Manager happy. Seems they just want non-discerning customers who will eat anything they serve them and not complain.

I had organised dinner at Farro with a friend in December. We booked a table a week in advanced as it was silly season. We arrived at the 7pm booking at 7.05pm and the waiter had given our table up. I was 7 months pregnant and had requested a non-stool seat or a seat with back support. They placed us at a high top bar in the corner on high top chairs to order a drink until a table becomes available. I asked why our table was available and he informed us they had given this to walk-ins because we were 5 minutes late. We ended up leaving the restaurant because of how rude this male waiter was ( I think he was in charge as well). I live in Windsor and have eaten here several times. We also get delivery from this restaurant regularly however we won’t be doing so anymore. Their treatment of customers was appalling.

I asked for a delivery for today at night. A pizza didn’t arrive and they didn’t do anything about it. I spoked to the manager and he asked me to pay a Uber to pick the pizza up, when it was their mistake. And when I said no, he hung me the phone. Totally un respectful it’s a shame that a restaurant like that treat their customers as rubbish . Of course we are not going to order anymore and we absolutely don’t recommend this farro to anyone . And the food was absolutely not worth it the price. 30 aud a gnocchi plate with 7 little gnocchis, a total shame

We ordered two pizzas, and two orders of pasta between the four of us, and of course there were leftovers! I have to say that the spaghetti gamberi (prawns) was so delicious! The service was fantastic and it was a memorable meal! Go for sure, but be aware of the very steep stairs to the restroom.

I’m usually very picky with pizza so trust me, their pizza is simply amazing! The dough is very light and tasty. The dough is made with organic spelt flour and it rest for a few days. Quite impressed! If you want a good pizza, you should definitely go there! They are expert! I also had a take away pizza from Farro Windsor. Not as good as in the restaurant, but still excellent.
