Pizza Lovers say: "Delicious dough, unique pizzas like Primavera and pumpkin, and great desserts. Some found the tagliata chewy and pricing for modifications unreasonable."

The tagliata di manzo was chewy i even struggled using the knife. What made the experience worse was the pricing. Irequested a simple substitution: arugula, Parmigiano, and cherry tomatoes instead of rosemary and potatoes. This didn’t seem like an extravagant modification, yet I was charged €30 instead of the listed €24. An extra €6 for a garnish change felt unreasonable, especially considering the quality of the meat. There was no clear communication about the additional cost beforehand, which made it even more frustrating. Transparency in pricing is important, and I would have appreciated being informed in advance. Overall, the combination of disappointing food quality and unexpected overpricing left a negative impression. For the price paid, I expected much better in terms of both taste and service. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be returning.

My first pizza here was so well made. The dough tasted delicious and they let me modify their country pizza by adding buffalo mozzarella. Look at that photo. I have never had potato on a pizza. And there are actual flowers on this pizza. I have never seen flowers on a pizza. Very impressive.

This ristorante/pizzeria is a bit hidden. But they serve nice olives d'ascolana. Staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant looks cosy, so we will come back. Also the terrace (on the street) is nice to sit. We had those local olives and 2 salades. Fresh, tasteful and they look good. Highly recommended. It was a great experience from start to end. The ingredients are super rich in flavour. The Primavera pizza is literally a spring bite. They have a pizza with pumpkin that has a very unique twist and it doesn’t taste like anything I’ve ever tried. The cherry on top are their desserts, definitely you’ll need the second stomach cause their cucumber sorbet is incredibly good as well as their white chocolate mousse. A must go in town!

La Nicchia is a cosy restaurant housed in a beautiful historical setting, formerly a synagogue, in the centre of Ascoli Piceno. The menu offers a decent choice of dishes and everything we tried was satisfactory. Service was kind and attentive. Recommended.
