If you are headed for the Sorrentine Peninsula or the Amalfi Coast and you are looking to grab a quick bite to eat, Oasi must be your stop. Oasi is open from 08:15, which is a bit unorthodox for Italian restaurants, but extremely helpful for tourists that are not necessarily accustomed to the dolce vita working hours and are looking for an early breakfast. The saltimbocca is their forte. The woodfired, crunchy taste of the focaccia is exacerbated by the ingredients it holds; one can choose from more than 10 variants of locally produced dairy & meat products one can see on display in the refrigerator. There are as well a variety of fried and fresh vegetable base ingredients you can choose from to add to your mozzarella/salumi base. All of which are fresh and extremely well-seasoned resulting in a savory experience extremely pleasing to the palate. The saltimbocca is extremely affordable, starting at 6 euros for the basis and varying from 10 to 14 euros, depending on the ingredients one chooses to add, set at 2 euros each. I will add that the staff does not speak English well, however they make up for it with their patience and well-mannered approach and service. They are willing to try and help you with questions related to the dairy and the meat, as well as help with the rest of the ingredients. Oasi was our preferred stop to eat and get ready for a day of wandering down the Costiera Amalfitana.

We were woken every morning of our 3 night stay by the owners German Shepherds. I do not blame the dogs, they are institutional animals, but very little effort was made to quiet them. I didn't come on holiday to be woken at 7am by continuous barking and howling sessions. The 2 dogs live upstairs, directly above the guest rooms. The only escape from the intermittent barking/howling or sometimes growling was to leave for the day. Which is a shame because the views are beautiful. That's why we chose to visit. Otherwise the rooms are very clean, if your an early riser you will enjoy.

The host was very welcoming and helpful! The staff kept everything very clean and tidy! The view was spectacular and it is close to the “Famous Beach”. Only down side was that parking and trying to get around in traffic in the nearby towns was really difficult as there is only one road. But this irrelevant to the property!
