“Probably the best pizza you can possibly find outside of Naples proper. Incredibly soft dough, fine tuned ingredients and great selection. The menu is well organized and the beer selection is all you need. Carlo Sammarco is truly making a name for himself... love this place!! “ this was my review of over 1 year ago. *****Flash forward to today 8/27/18: Carlo Sammarco has made a name for himself and even opened another location. Perhaps that the reason I am now downgrading this location from 5 to 1 star. The pizza is still fairly good however, the service has completely deteriorated. Servers are agitated and disorganized. We ordered three pizzas for three people. The third arrived 35 minutes after the first two. Meanwhile, in the painful and awkward wait for the third pizza, this establishment allowed two dogs inside the closed indoor restaurant at the same time. First of all, As a customer and human being planning to eat food I don’t want to sit next to an animal which has different levels of hygiene in an enclosed building and could use the bathroom at any point anywhere near me and my potential food. Secondly, if one of the guests in our group was allergic to dogs there is no consideration for paying customers and their potential objections or repercussions from having live animals near food. As we expressed to the server that two of our three people at the table had a headache due to the incessant high pitch shrill of a bark. The server vaguely shrugged and said I know as if to condone the behavior of allowing a barking dog near paying customers in an enclosed restaurant. If I wanted to eat next to a dog I’d have a pizza on the street. I sadly don’t know if I’ll return since this was such a terrible experience and I might even have to agree with relatives who have stated this location has declined in recent months.

Horrible dinner! Wrong orders, missed items. No apologies. Pizza was just ok. I’ll pay $50 euro rewards if you avoid this place and book somewhere else.

Pizza was great but left the restaurant with a major headache and bad taste in my mouth from the waitstaff and overall ambiance. There seems to be no management and when problems arise no one takes charge. For example: when the meals of ALL of the customers in a full restaurant were ruined by barking dogs no one did anything. We looked around for nearly an hour as the whole restaurant was uncomfortable and annoyed, yet management or staff did nothing and said nothing. The whole restaurant shouldn’t have to suffer so that two couples can enjoy an 8€ pizza with their pet who doesn’t pay to eat there. Miserable environment with animals making noises in what should be a fun and delicious pizzeria. Do not recommend.
