Pizza Lovers say: "The plain slice at Joe's holds its shape from tip to crust without a droop, with a thin, crisp base and a light char that has made it a Greenwich Village standard since 1975. The grease sheen is real and the sauce runs on the simple side, but for a street-corner NY slice eaten standing up, few come close."

I just had to share my amazing experience at Joe’s Pizza — it truly exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, lively, and welcoming. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my visit. It’s clear they take pride not just in their food but in making customers feel valued and comfortable. Now let’s talk about the pizza — absolutely phenomenal. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside while staying soft and chewy inside. The sauce had that rich, balanced flavor that tastes fresh and homemade, and the cheese was melted to perfection with just the right stretch in every bite. Every slice was packed with flavor, and you can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. Service was fast and efficient even though the place was busy, which says a lot about how well the team works together. The staff were patient, helpful with recommendations, and made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious pizza served by a team that genuinely cares, Joe’s Pizza is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend

Joe’s Pizza (Broadway) is undeniably one of New York’s classic pizza institutions and often one of the first recommendations for anyone visiting the city. Whether you’re grabbing a quick slice or ordering a whole pie, it’s a convenient and iconic stop. The prices remain reasonable, especially considering the location and popularity. However, be prepared for long queues—waiting times can easily range from 30 to 45 minutes, and sometimes even up to an hour. The line does move, but occasionally slower than expected. Their classic cheese, Margherita, and pepperoni slices are the clear favorites—simple, well-executed, and consistently satisfying. Inside, you’ll also find plenty of photos featuring celebrities and famous visitors, which adds to the nostalgic charm and history of the place. While there are certainly other pizza spots in New York that may offer more innovative or elevated flavors, Joe’s stands out for its legacy, convenience, and reliability. It’s less about being the absolute “best” and more about experiencing a true NYC staple. Definitely worth adding to your to-do list when visiting New York—especially if you want a taste of pizza history.

FANTASTIC low cost pizza!!! This it's my one must hit place in new york and I'm so glad I did. The pizza is affordable and it's light, crispy and delicious. There is definitely a wait to get in, but it's all part of the New York experience!!! I will say that their deep dish pizza was not my favorite and I would not get that again. However, if I return to New York I would definitely, make it a point to go here again. The staff is friendly and the amount of pizza that they turn out is unreal!!! There is limited seating, so don't be upset if you don't get a seat.

A Simple but Outstanding Classic New York Slice. One of NYC’s most popular pizza spots, known for its thin, crispy crust topped with rich tomato sauce and plenty of cheese. Slices start at around $4.50, making it an easy and satisfying choice. Just steps from Times Square and open from morning until late night, it’s a perfect stop anytime you’re craving real New York pizza!

This was my first time in NYC and the pizza was FABULOUS! Our driver recommended this place and stopped here at 3am. I was surprised how crowded it was during that time but that goes to show how great the pizza is! They say the pizza is great in NJ and NY because of the water. Whatever the reason, I wasn’t disappointed! Definitely recommend!!

Very crowded at lunch time and a bit expensive for average pizza. The next time the wife and I return to NYC we will try some of the less famous pizzerias in the neighborhood.

Very good pizza. Thin crust, good service and a cozy neighborhood atmosphere.
