Planning your trip to Italy to finally get really Italian pizza? Save the price of the plane and book in for an evening of this amazing restaurant. On our last night in York, we booked a table hoping the pizza would be as good as it seemed to be when we looked in as we walked by. We’ve been to Italy, this is the real deal. The crust is properly slow raised, and cooked to perfection. Add to that, they serve it in the true Italian fashion, unsliced on the plate. The only small adaptation they seem to have made is slightly more toppings on one pizza that you might get in Italy. That said, the balance of flavors was perfect, on point and absolutely delicious. All of the staff are super friendly and extremely personable without being intrusive. The head chef even came around and had a nice conversation with us. Although the place was very busy, with takeout orders, happening regularly, and people popping in, hoping for a table, we were never rushed in any way. They have a great selection of Italian beers, a small but decent wine list, and great looking desserts. The bill, including drinks came to £50. A very reasonable price, considering the quality of food, a few drinks, wonderful service, and the amazing atmosphere. We highly recommend this restaurant that would come back again next time we’re in York.

We ordered the Alleanza and Calabrese pizzas and both were delicious. The dough was fantastic and all the ingredients were fresh. The addition of “njuda” on the pizza added a nice bit of spice – highly recommended for spice lovers. For dessert, we tried the Tiramisu and it was a must-try! You should always save space for a dessert and it seems they’ve perfected this one.👌🏼 The staff were friendly and kind. They took time to explain everything to us. Such a nice vibe ☺️ P.S. We recommend you book a ta le ahead of time because the place can get quite full during weekends

Hands down the best pizza I ever had 🙌🏻🤤 so fresh and full of flavours. Tomato base pizza delivered a kick abd and I loved it. It was perfect balance between "white" pizza and normal, tomato base ones. Desserts were amazing too, everything is proper hand made. Friendly and welcoming service from the team ❤️ I hope you will open one in Leeds 🙏🏻

Absolutely exceptional. Maybe the best Neapolitan styled pizza I ever had. The buffalo mozzarella on the salad was also incredible. I may need to alter my trip to eat here again.

This is the spot!!! I had a salsicca e plancheta pizza. It had a decent amount of toppings, nice crispy pizza base and tasty tomato sauce. The staff were attentive and helpful. It was very busy so took quite a long time for my order to be taken but the pizza and drinks were quick. The rosé cider was a good accompaniment to the meal so I would definitely recommend. I would definitely come back again if I'm in York but I would book a table in advance.

Poor customer service! Restaurant over booked and our booking cancelled 2 hours before seating without explanation on our’s was the one to cancel.

A small, very friendly and welcoming place. The pizzas are just THE BEST! Excellent prices too. Best to book as it is very popular.

We had previously heard good things about Cresci and were looking forward to a lunchtime visit. What a cracking wee spot for pizza. The staff are super friendly and helpful. It's busy but there is an air of calm from the kitchen to the front of house. Nice simple selection of starters to get you going, but it's the pizzas that steal the show. The pizzas are quite simply outstanding. Nice selection and all at a great price, all cooked in a proper wood oven. We're so pleased we went and this pizza place must be the best around. Looking forward to returning.

Great eatery! Genuine, friendly and enthusiastic team, who really look after you and produce fantastic pizzas! Gluten free proved no problem at all and we had Limoncello on the house to end our evening! Particular thanks to Sabrina! If only you were nearer home...
